Roberta Flack Death :The Legendary American Singer.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of legendary American singer Roberta Flack, who died on Monday, February 24, 2025, at the age of 88. Her agent confirmed that she passed away peacefully, surrounded by family.

Born on February 10, 1937, in Black Mountain, North Carolina, Roberta Flack grew up in a musically inclined family. She demonstrated exceptional talent for the piano at a young age, earning a scholarship to Howard University at just 15 years old.

Her career took off in the early 1970s when Clint Eastwood selected her rendition of “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” for the soundtrack of his film Play Misty for Me (1971). This soft and emotional ballad catapulted Flack to international fame, winning the Grammy Award for Record of the Year in 1973.

The following year, she repeated this success with Killing Me Softly with His Song, a track that became emblematic of her unique blend of soul, jazz, and folk. The song earned her a second consecutive Grammy for Record of the Year in 1974, making her the first artist to achieve this feat.
